This policy defines the limits placed by the Student Services Finance Committee on the General Student Services Fund budgets for student organizations.
This policy applies to any Registered Student Organization seeking funding or who is currently funded by the General Student Services Fund.
In regard to returning organizations who are requesting a budget:
No GSSF organization shall be granted a budget increase of more than 10% from the prior fiscal year, unless a new core program has been proposed. It must be approved by a three-fourths (3/4) vote of the SSFC.
No GSSF organization shall be granted a budget increase of more than 25% under any circumstances, excluding groups who are requesting funds for the first time.
All GSSF organizations with budget returns exceeding 15% in the prior fiscal year shall provide a reasonable cause for returns and an effective solution to be implemented for future years. If in the current fiscal year the same issue exists, the organization may be prohibited from increases. If all are in order, the increase must be approved by a three-fourths (3/4) vote of the SSFC.
No GSSF organization with budget returns exceeding 25% in the prior fiscal year shall be granted a budget increase in the subsequent fiscal year under any circumstances.
