University Policy

Rationale/​Purpose:

This policy outlines how the Office of the Chancellor can provide parking options for governmental guests who need to park on campus to conduct official business. 

Scope:

Governmental guests.

Policy:
  1. UW-Madison Transportation Services will provide subsidized parking options for governmental guests, at the request of the Office of the Chancellor as needed. Options include:
    1. Government permit
    2. Validations
    3. Reserved visitor parking permits
  2. Government permits are valid in non-reserved permit stalls (stalls without signs) or timed parking stalls on campus.
  3. Guests who would like to purchase more permits than allocated by the Office of the Chancellor will be offered the opportunity to purchase additional parking on campus.
  4. Government permits or validations are subsidized by UW-Madison Transportation Services and cannot be used for any purpose (or by any other individual) other than official UW business as approved and issued by the Office of the Chancellor. Violation of this restriction will result in automatic loss of the permit/pass.
